The National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators is

NAUPA will host a Holder Interaction Focus portion of its Unclaimed Property Track at this year’s NAST Treasury Management Training Symposium to be held at the Marriott City Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota May 11-12. The intensive seminar with ample networking time has been specifically designed for financial professionals who staff the unclaimed property reporting function in their company. This is a unique opportunity to meet with state unclaimed property officials in a positive environment to discuss issues that are important to you. The workshop can be especially beneficial to those new to unclaimed property reporting.
The seventh annual National Holder Workshop & Forum will begin at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 11th and continue until 12 p.m. on Friday, May 12th. Single-company holders are invited to attend for the special rate of $395*, which includes the evening networking dinner event and breakfast on Friday. Should lodging be needed, the special hotel rate will be $174. The registration fee also includes a one-year subscription to the NAUPA QRP States Unclaimed Property Monitoring Service.
*The registration fee for consultants, advocates, attorneys and other service providers that assist companies with consulting, compliance, legal matters, audits and/or reporting of unclaimed property will be at the private sector rate of $1350 for NAST Corporate Affiliates or $2600 for non-NAST members. Both private sector rates include the entire NAST Treasury Management Training Symposium.

Topics Designed to Ensure Your Unclaimed Property Reporting Success
Holder workshop attendees will be welcomed to the conference along with NAUPA members to learn about the latest unclaimed property-related legislation being proposed and enacted throughout the country. Other policy topics will also be discussed.
Reporting and Compliance 101
Attendees will be given a crash-course in core unclaimed property concepts. Key terms will be defined. Core concepts such as dormancy periods, due diligence and reporting requirements will be introduced and discussed by a panel of state experts. You will leave this session with the basic knowledge and tools to ensure your company complies with State unclaimed property laws.
State representatives will act as moderators in this highly interactive session that will allow attendees to discuss unclaimed property issues that are of particular importance to their individual area of business.
Reporting & Compliance 201
This session will build upon your knowledge gained in the 101 session. In depth information will be provided on a wide range of topics with an emphasis on best practices. State Unclaimed Property staff members will describe and demystify the audit process and will let you know what to expect should your company be chosen for a compliance review. Differences in state reporting requirements will be discussed, and detailed information about California's reporting requirements will be presented by California's Unclaimed Property Administrator.
State Panel and Hot Reporting Topics
This will be a highly interactive session with attendees provided the opportunity to ask a panel of state experts questions about unclaimed property reporting and compliance concepts. Noteworthy issues identified during the Industry Roundtable Session will be discussed.
